At Recal, we provide AI-powered tools to help you generate summaries, transcripts, insights, and action items from your video and audio recordings. To ensure fair and responsible use of our media import and summarization features, please read the following guidelines carefully.
1. Ownership and Permission
By uploading a video or audio file, or providing a link from supported platforms (YouTube, Loom, Apple Podcasts, Vimeo, Google Drive, Dropbox, or others) to Recal, you confirm that:
- You own the content or have explicit permission from the content owner to use, process, and analyze it.
- You have the necessary rights to request transcription, summarization, and AI analysis of the material through our platform.
- You agree not to upload or process any content that violates copyright laws, intellectual property rights, or the rights of any third party.
- You have obtained any necessary consents from individuals who appear in or are mentioned in the content.
We do not actively monitor user-submitted content for copyright compliance. However, we reserve the right to remove content or restrict access if we receive a valid takedown request or become aware of potential violations.
2. Use of Third-Party Platform Links
Recal supports importing content from various platforms. When providing a link from any supported platform, you are responsible for ensuring compliance with both our guidelines and the original platform's terms.

Your Responsibilities
When importing content from these platforms:

- Recal does not endorse the unauthorized downloading, redistribution, or duplication of copyrighted works.
- Processing content through Recal may be subject to the original platform's Terms of Service. We encourage users to review and comply with platform-specific policies.
- You should only process content that you created, that was shared with you for this purpose, or that you otherwise have permission to analyze.
Recal is designed for legitimate business use — such as meeting note generation, podcast research, content analysis, and productivity enhancement — not for infringing on creators' rights or bypassing platform restrictions.
3. Permitted Use Cases
Recal's media import and AI summarization features are designed to help users:

4. Prohibited Use
You agree not to use Recal's media import features to:

- Engage in any activity that violates applicable laws or regulations

5. Copyright and DMCA Policy
